‘Foolish’ a living representation of all my stylistic influences: pop, alternative, electronic, jazz. My musical experiences have brought me into all of those worlds, and this is what came out when I really stopped trying to sound like one thing and let my own voice speak without judgement.
This is where I really tested myself to build a full-spectrum production in real-time. It was a labour of love, taking many different forms over months of meticulous production, arrangement, and practice. The journey of creating ‘Foolish’ was really my first experience living inside a song of my own creation. I struggled to find a lyrics and melody that felt like home, so I reached out to a close friend and colleague - Rane Elliott-Armstrong of Little Junior. It was difficult to send this song away to take on a different character, but it taught me that collaboration can be a refreshing experience. What came back was a bright, honest, self-aware commentary of a love lost.

"Breeze’ is my exploration into the quirky and clubby realms of electronic dance music. This track is a deliberate attempt to blend distinctly modern sounds with a sprinkle of my personality, resulting in a composition that feels both fresh and personal.
Months of arrangement and production laid the groundwork for this song as well. Again, this challenged my lyrical creativity and led me back to a fruitful collaboration with Rane. His approach inflated the song to a chantable, bouncy, bright anthem about living in the moment.
Inspired by the likes of Polo and Pan, French Kiwi Juice, Krakazat, and Anomalie, I wanted ‘Breeze’ to be to nod at their ability to marry modern electronic music with analog warmth - is a trait that extends to the visual aesthetic of this project. As ORN8, I’ve taken a hands-on approach to every aspect of my visual branding - every logo, animation, colour palette and visual decision was conceptualized, designed, and created by myself. This was an important piece of this project really feeling like my own.
